Eracom Technologies, a leading developer and global supplier of cryptographic technologies and solutions, today announced that its ProtectHost White HSM (host security module) is now supported by ACI's BASE24(R) Transaction Security Services.

ACI's BASE24(R) Transaction Security Services combines support of Single and Triple DES, allowing customers to process in a mixed environment until card association and network mandates require them to completely adopt Triple DES. The module is certified with NCR, Diebold, and Fujitsu brand ATMs, and now supports the Eracom hardware security device, the ProtectHost White.

The ProtectHost White provides physical and logical protection to cryptographic keys and cryptographic processing. Typical applications of the ProtectHost White include securing ATM, EFTPOS, e-cash, mobile banking, bank clearing, and other financial transaction systems. Supporting ISO, ANSI, and Australian Standards, enhanced performance features of the ProtectHost White include numerous levels of performance, processing up to 1200 functions per second, over TCP/IP (Ethernet or Token Ring), Ethernet, asynchronous, or IBM channel communications.

ProtectHost White supports VISA, MasterCard and American Express such as card validation, PIN verification, and cryptographic key management. Key capabilities of ProtectHost White include 3DES, RSA cryptographic processing, digital signature generation and verification, secure key loading, PIN Mailer, Key Mailer, EMV, CEPS and Diebold/NCR Remote Key Distribution.
