NEW DELHI, Nov 1 Asia Pulse - Multimedia firm UTV along with cable TV and service provider WIN Cable Internet, today launched India's first broadband streaming site www.sharkstream.co.in
"By getting into the game early in India and globally, sharkstream will be able to establish strategic partnerships with leading broadband service and content providers and help define the category," chairman of Sharkstream and UTV Ronnie Screwvala said in a statement here.
Following the launch, 500 WIN Cabel Internet subscribers will be able to enjoy streaming videos on their PCs by logging on to this website.
"We have crossed the last-mile connection hurdle via the cable modem and the fastest way to accelerate pace is by providing compelling content at quality approaching regular TV and audio," managing director of WIN Bharat Harwani said.
The broadband service provider had a revenue sharing arrangement with sharkstream.com, it said but did not disclose details.
