NSW: Power workers stage snap strike over privatisation plan
New South Wales power workers have called a snap strike .. a day after Premier MORRIS
IEMMA revealed he'll partially privatise the electricity sector.
BEN KRUSE .. general secretary of the United Services Union .. says 15-hundred workers
have walked off the job until Monday.
He says they're planning another stop work meeting on Tuesday.
Mr KRUSE has told Macquarie radio the privatisation is going ahead without any further
consultation with the unions .. and his members have had it up to the neck.
Mr IEMMA's latest privatisation plan doesn't require any enabling legislation by parliament.
