Who's running the Chicago Public Schools?
For more than a year now, the schools have been operating withseveral vacancies on the 15-member Board of Education. Fifteenmonths ago, Mayor Daley rejected all the names submitted by theSchool Board Nominating Commission, claiming none of the candidateshad the civic and financial expertise board members need to handleschool financial and other crises.
