NSW: Caux leads Sydney Anzac march

Thousands of people have poured into Sydney's city centre to pay tribute to those who
have served their country.

Today's march on the 89th anniversary of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps'
landing at Gallipoli is heading to Hyde Park for a commemoration service at 12.30pm (AEST).

One of Australia's six remaining World War One veterans, 105-year-old MARCEL CAUX,
says it's a very special day.

More than 22,000 serving and ex-service personnel are taking part in the Sydney parade
celebrating the Anzac legends of courage, loyalty and mateship.

50-year-old Captain IAN BAIN, a serving member of the Army Reserves, who's great-grandfather
served in Gallipoli, says Anzac Day is about what the military's done to defend the Australian
way of life.

Fifteen-year-old JAMES FLYNN, one of 100 young Australians to have the honour of being
a World War One flag bearer, says he's proud of those who died for their country.
