Qld: Post mortem following fire deaths
TOWNSVILLE, Dec 3 AAP - A post mortem examination will be held today on the bodies
of a pregnant mother and her daughter found dead after a house fire in Townsville.
A police spokesman said the deaths were being treated as suspicious.
"A post mortem is being done today on two deceased," he said.
Police were called to the fire in the back bedroom of a weatherboard duplex in the
Townsville suburb of Hyde Park yesterday afternoon.
Fire crews took 15 minutes to put out the blaze before finding the bodies of a woman,
believed to be 35, and a one-year-old child inside.
